The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is continuing to solicit any information related to what authorities are classifying as a double homicide of a mother and her son in Aldie.

Mala Manwani, 65, and her son Rishi Manwani, 32, were found dead inside their home in the 25000 block of Tomey Court in Aldie Wednesday afternoon. Deputies were called to the residence after authorities were notified by a co-worker of the mother that Mala Manwani had not come to work earlier in the week, according to authorities.

In a statement Saturday, the LCSO reminded the public that they can call in anonymous tips to Loudoun Crime Solves. Any information that leads to an arrest and indictment could lead to a cash reward.

Callers with any information that could assist in this investigation and wishing to remain anonymous are urged to call Loudoun Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919. Callers can also contact Detective A. Perry of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office at 703-777-0475.

Sheriff Mike Chapman (R) said earlier this week the murders appear to be related to “criminal activity” going on inside the home.

Edit to last comment: the person who hit Selma Turkoglu stayed at the scene and spoke to the police. However there is no information on who the person is or whether they were ever charged with anything.

LCSO doesn’t believe there is any threat to the public because they don’t have a clue who did it. If they were murdered, the perp is probably in Guatemala by now.

Anyone remember Selma Turkoglu? She was the pedestrian killed in front of TJ Maxx in Sterling over a year ago…and LCSO still hasn’t figured out who hit her.

Maybe they should call the Keystone Kops.

Yes FredSanford it’s definitely not theft from the right kind of people.

“...related to “criminal activity” going on inside the home”

That sounds to me like LCSO believes that somebody in family was up to no good and their shady dealings caught up with them. Gambling Debts? Drugs? Theft from the wrong types of people?

So the sheriffs department knows nothing. Yet somehow they said that they don’t believe there is any threat to the general public?
