UPDATE: Victim identified in fatal Lovettsville farm accident

Update: Oct. 26, 3:46 p.m.

The victim has been identified as 67-year-old Charles Sterling, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Sterling sustained the injuries while trying to stabilize an auger attachment to a tractor, according to LCSO, and he died at the Cornwall Campus of Inova Loudoun Hospital.

The Lovettsville man who was injured Wednesday morning after getting stuck in farm machinery has died, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

The victim's name has not been released.

The LCSO says it is investigating a fatal accident on a residential farm in the 42200 block of Lovettsville Road near Lovettsville.

Members of Loudoun County Fire and Rescue responded to the residence around 10:45 a.m., where an adult male victim was entrapped in an attachment to a tractor.

A man has sustained serious injuries after getting trapped in a piece of farm machinery in Lovettsville, according to a Loudoun County Fire and Rescue spokeswoman.

Loudoun County Fire and Rescue received a call around 10:45 a.m. for reports of an adult male trapped in a piece of farm equipment at the 4200 block of Lovettsville Road.

According to Loudoun County Fire and Rescue, the man was transported to the Cornwall Emergency Room in Leesburg. His condition is described as critical.
