A Maryland man is behind bars after he was reportedly driving a tractor trailer impaired and struck a guard rail near Route 7 and Route 9 in Leesburg Tuesday.

Richard M. Davini, II, of Maryland, remains held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center after being charged with driving under the influence of drugs.

The incident caused long delays for people traveling the busy Route 7 in and through Loudoun County.

According to Loudoun County Sheriff's Office reports, around 12:55 p.m. Tuesday, Davini was traveling westbound on Route 7 when he struck a guard rail. The vehicle then continued up the embankment before rolling onto its side. Davini was reportedly driving erratically prior to the crash.
