Romney to speak in Leesburg Wednesday
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will give a speech Wednesday at Ida Lee Park in Leesburg.
Tickets for the 6:30 p.m. event are available online at http://www.MittRomney.com/VA or at the Victory offices in Leesburg, Sterling or Arlington.
Romney spoke in Sterling in late June; and his wife Ann headlined a “Women for Mitt” event in Leesburg in August. Republican Govs. Bob McDonnell and Bobby Jindal stumped for their party’s candidate in Sterling Oct. 10, the same day CNN’s “Erin Burnett OutFront” ran a segment calling Loudoun County one of the “final factors” that may decide the 2012 election.
Both President Barack Obama and first lady have visited Leesburg in recent months, as well. Michelle Obama made a speech Oct. 9 at the Loudoun County Fairgrounds, while the president energized a crowd at Loudoun County High School in early August.
The Republican is still riding a wave of momentum stemming from the first presidential debate earlier this month. Wednesday’s event in Loudoun will come the day after the second debate between Romney and President Obama.
