Good point with one exception on the amount of effect. Route 15 is an artery yet used by local traffic as well because surrounding capillary roads (excuse the medical term) are narrow, gravel and under maintained roads. If Limestone School Road, New Valley Church Road, Wilt Store Road and Montressor Road were also widened, paved and trenches fixed we would see the local portion of Route 15 traffic have a reasonable alternative.
In its simplest form all of this owuld go away as a problem if VDOT would merely be mandated to not allow the roads they are responsible for to be provisioned below their own written standards!
