The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance to help identify the suspect in an auto theft and credit card fraud case last month.

According to LCSO, the suspect was caught on surveillance video in Forest Hills, Md., driving a vehicle stolen from Chokeberry Square and using credit cards that were stolen from a vehicle on Powderhorn Court in Ashburn.

The credit cards and the vehicle, a 2016 Honda HR-V, were both reported stolen sometime between Aug. 23 and Aug. 24, according to reports. The suspect apparently stole the credit cards from a purse that was left in a vehicle parked in an open garage of a home. The Honda HR-V was parked in a parking space with the keys left inside.

Anyone with information regarding the possible identity of the suspect is asked to contact. Detective N. Campbell at 703-737-8707. Citizens can also submit a tip through the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office app. The Loudoun Sheriff app is available on the iTunes App Store and Google Play.
