Sheriff’s office seeking information about Sterling armed robberies

Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office authorities are asking for the public's assistance to help identify a suspect involved in the armed robberies of two gas stations in the Sterling area.

Around 9:56 p.m. Monday, a male suspect wearing a mask entered the Sunoco gas station in the 700 block of W. Church Road in Sterling armed with a handgun. The suspect stole cash from the location then fled on foot, according to the LCSO.

Shortly after midnight, the same male entered the Sunoco gas station located on Pigeon Hill Drive in Sterling armed with a handgun and wearing a mask. The suspect also stole cash from the clerk this location before fleeing on foot.

There were no injuries reported in either incident. The suspect is believed to be a white male, approximately 5’5” tall and was wearing a black shirt and pants with a ski-like mask covering the majority of his face.

Surveillance video and stills of the suspect were obtained from the businesses. Detectives are asking for public's assistance to help identify the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective J. Totaro at 703-777-0475.
