Sterling gymnastics coach arrested on sexual battery charges

Detectives from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office have arrested a gymnastics coach on charges of sexually assaulting a juvenile female during an open gym event at the NVGA Gymnastics studio.

The suspect, Brian D. Nguyen, 43, of Sterling, was arrested today and charged with one count of aggravated sexual battery.

The charges stem from an investigation into a Dec. 2 assault in the 44000 block of Cape Court in Ashburn. The victim, a juvenile female, reported to her parents that she was inappropriately touched by the coach while she was at the gym with her friends.

Nguyen remains held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.
