Trash and recycling schedules adjusted in Western Loudoun

Trash and recycling pick-up will be modified in several towns due to the holidays.

    The modifications are as follows.

Purcellville: There will be no trash or recycling pick up on Christmas Day or New Years Day for Town of Purcellville residents.

Curbside recycling and refuse collection will instead be held Dec. 28 and Jan. 4. The town reminds residents that on make-up days, crews come earlier than normal; as such, items should be placed at the curb the night before.

Middleburg: Normal trash and recycling pick up for the Town of Middleburg fall on Christmas and New Years this year.

As such, trash and recycling pick-up will be rescheduled for Dec. 24 and Dec. 31. The town asks that people have their trash and recycling to the curb no later than Dec. 23 at 3 p.m. and Dec. 30 at 3 p.m.

Round Hill: Because normal trash and recycling falls on both the Christmas and New Years holidays, pick-up as been rescheduled.

Pickup will now be Dec. 28 and Jan. 4, the Saturdays following both holidays.
