Two arrested for DUIs, hit and runs over holiday weekend

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office arrested two men, one of Sterling and the other of Ashburn, for charges of hit and run and driving under the influence over the holiday weekend. A third man was charged with eluding police and DUI after leading police on a car chase.

At 5:45 p.m. Friday, the LCSO responded to the area of Gloucester Parkway and Ashburn Village Boulevard for a report of a reckless driver. The driver of the suspect vehicle also hit another car and left the scene, LCSO officials said.

Deputies found the suspect vehicle near Tournament Parkway and attempted to make contact with the driver, who then sped off. Deputies pursued the suspect vehicle for a short distance before the driver crashed into a tree, according to reports.

Deputies identified the suspect as Brian K. Clark, 52, of Ashburn. Clark was arrested and charged with felony eluding, driving under the Influence (second in five years), refusal of a breath test (second offense), destruction of property and two counts of hit and run. He was released from the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on a secured bond.

At 2:51 p.m. Sunday, LCSO responded to the area of Palisades Parkway and Cascades Parkway for a crash from which the at-fault driver fled. Deputies found the vehicle in the area of Carolina Court and identified the driver as Evan E. Reames Jr., 61, of Sterling, LCSO officials said. Reames was arrested and charged with DUI, two counts of felony hit and run and probation violation. He is being held at the detention center without bond.

Another Sterling man led police on a chase that started in Herndon. At 1:56 a.m. Saturday, LCSO found the car involved in the Herndon chase at the 40 block of Wedgedale Drive in Sterling. Upon approach, the suspect fled in the car. Deputies pursued the vehicle to Seneca Ridge Road where the driver fled on foot.

The deputies found the suspect near his residence on Wedgedale Drive and took him into custody without further incident. Deputies identified the suspect as as Arturo Rojo-Cervates, 33, of Sterling. Rojo-Cervates was arrested and charged with two counts of eluding police, driving under the influence (third in 10 years), driving after revoked license and refusal of a breath test (second offense). He is also being held at the detention center without bond.
