Detectives with the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office have identified an additional suspect in an Oct. 14 home invasion armed robbery at a Purcellville apartment.
Authorities are seeking the whereabouts of Dean W. Ballard, 20, who was last known to live in the Harrisonburg area. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office continues to search for David C. Russell Jr., 21, of Leesburg, who is wanted in connection with the robbery. Russell is known to frequent the Leesburg and Sterling areas.
Jordon L. Harwell, 29, of Sterling, and John C. Barwis, 23, of Ashburn were arrested earlier this month in connection with the robbery. Both men are charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery and are held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond. Additional charges are pending against both suspects.
The robbery was at an apartment in the 100 block of North 21st Street . Around 11:30 p.m. the Purcellville Police Department and the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office responded to the apartment where the suspects reportedly entered the apartment and brandished firearms.
One of the occupants of the apartment was assaulted during the robbery and suffered minor injuries. He was taken to the Cornwall Campus of Inova Loudoun Hospital where he was treated and released. Cash was reportedly taken before the suspects fled. The weapons used during the robbery have been recovered, according to the Sheriff's Office.

If the caller provides information to Crime Solvers leading to the arrest and indictment of either suspect, they could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
