80-year-old man brandishes firearm at Sterling trash collector

A trash collector reported an unknown white man in his 80s brandishing a firearm at him while he was working in the 220 block of Environs Road in Sterling on June 29.

The trash collector said the man told him to leave while brandishing the weapon at him. The victim left the area and later reported the incident to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

The subject is described having gray hair with a beard and glasses.
