Kenneth L. Harper

Kenneth Leon Harper, 70, of Winchester, Virginia, died Friday, April 14, 2017 at his home. Mr. Harper was born March 23, 1947 in Washington, DC, son of the late Robert Harper and Mary Jane Shifflett Harper. He was a land development manager with Beazer Homes. He had served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married Dorothy “Dottie” E. Harper on July 17, 1970. Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Cynthia Huddleston and her husband, Brian, of Purcellville, VA; two granddaughters, Grace Huddleston of Charles Town, WV and Amelia Huddleston of Purcellville, VA; two brothers, Walter Lee Harper of Manassas, VA and John C. Harper of Charles Town, WV; a sister, Frances Nobles of Maysville, WV; and many nieces and nephews. His brothers, Ronald Harper, Robert “Bobby” Harper, Wayne Harper and William “Billy” Harper, all preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P. M. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Chapel, Berryville, VA. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
