Marilyn Giles Butterfield

Marilyn Giles Butterfield of Winchester, and formerly of Leesburg passed away 14 November 2016. Marilyn is survived by three children, Kenneth Butterfield, Kerry Butterfield, and his wife Angela, Kathy Garrison, and her husband Greg. She is also survived by her Aunt Maria Beard and three grandchildren, Michael and Kimberly Garrison, and Ryan Butterfield. She was predeceased by her parents, Maybell and Tony Giles, her step father Harry Bartlett, Sister Katherine, and son, Terry Louis Butterfield. Marilyn drove a school bus for Loudoun County Public Schools for over 30 years. She was an avid bridge player throughout her adult life. She also enjoyed gardening. Most of all though, she enjoyed

Marilyn was a faithful and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family with all her heart. She will always be loved and missed by them. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Marilyn’s memory to Wounded Warriors or Blue Ridge Hospice. A celebration of Marilyn’s life is being held 12:30 pm, Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Hamilton Rescue Squad Social Hall, 39071 East Colonial Hwy. Hamilton, VA.
