Ashburn couple indicted in $20M visa fraud scheme

An Ashburn couple along with four co-conspirators were indicted yesterday in federal court for allegedly defrauding the government by applying for more than 800 illegal immigration benefits under the H-1B visa program that resulted in more than $20 million in profits.

More than a dozen dogs from Louisiana arrived at the Loudoun County Animal Shelter Thursday where they hopefully will be adopted during a May 7 event.

Loudoun group builds homes for veterans

Led by Jason Brownell, Matthew Lowers and Aimee McGranahan, the group’s goal is to help veterans live independently and to provide for their future. The first home will be 2,100 square feet and is set on one-third of an acre in an established community close to the town of Purcellville.
