Dragons Lose Heartbreaker

By raider43

The Dragons Varsity soccer team squared off at home against defending State Champion Benedictine High School on Friday. Robbie Taylor, Pat Kissanne and Bung ju Lee anchored a tough defense. Goalie Drew Renzi was brilliant, with several athletic stops. The fiercely contested first half ended 0 -0.
Early in the second half, the Dragons broke through when Rusty Montgomery senior midfielder found senior striker Joe Peluso who notched is 13th goal of the year.

With 30 minutes to play the Dragons were forced to play down as a relut of a red card. Benedictine scored two late goals, one as time expired, to snatch the game.

Coach Jeff Young believes his young Dragons will meet Benedictine in the conference finals with revenge in their minds.
