Police on Thursday arrested David Black, 46, in the April 17 slaying of his estranged wife, whose body was discovered after a neighbor found her two young children wandering outside that morning.

A special grand jury in Arlington returned indictments of first-degree murder and burglary while armed on Thursday, police said in a news release.

Black was arrested without incident in Arlington a short time later.

The body of Bonnie Black, 42, was found inside her home in the 1100 block of 18th Street South about 7:50 a.m. after a neighbor spotted her children wandering outside. She had been stabbed to death.

The victim's children were taken into the custody of Child Protective Services, police said.
