© Leesburg Today - 10/23/2015

Classes at Woodgrove High School resumed shortly after 2 p.m., following the investigation of a bomb threat.

Students were ordered to evacuate from the Purcellville school after the threat was received at 12:40 p.m., according to Kraig Troxell, spokesman for the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

The school was searched by about two dozen sheriff's office deputies and state troopers, along with bomb detection dogs. Nothing suspicious was found.

School district spokesman Wyade Byard said students had returned to class from the safe staging area and a regular dismissal is expected this afternoon.

Students at Mountainview Elementary School were not affected, Byard said.
