Leesburg Police Seek Gas Station Robbery Suspect

The Leesburg Police Department is asking for help in identifying a suspect wanted for robbing an Edwards Ferry Road gas station last week.

On Tuesday, June 23, at about 4:47 a.m., a black male entered the Exxon gas station located at 984 Edwards Ferry Road NE, walked behind the counter and placed several packs of cigarettes into a bag. The suspect also removed cash from two registers.

As the suspect was putting the money into his pocket, the cashier confronted him. After brief struggle, the suspect ran away.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30-40 years old, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing a blue and white striped short-sleeved shirt, blue shorts and white sneakers.
