Police investigating bank robberies in Annandale, Falls Church

Fairfax police are investigating two bank robberies within two days in Falls Church and Annandale.

The first happened Friday around 5:30 p.m. at the Capital One Bank at 6367 Seven Corners Center in Falls Church.

The robber walked in, approached one of the tellers and passed a note demanding money. An undisclosed amount of cash was handed over and the suspect fled.

The robber was black and in his 40s, police said.

The second happened at 11:53 a.m. Saturday at the M&T Bank at 7857 Heritage Drive in Annandale. The robber walked in, approached a teller and also passed a note demanding money, Fairfax police said in a news release.

The robber received an undisclosed about of cash and fled.

He was white with brown hair and wore a brown jacket.
