Loudoun varsity teams have combined to win 121 state titles

Loudoun County public high schools have combined to win 121 Virginia High School League state championships in varsity team sports. That number grew by 13 during the 2016-2017 school year.

Broad Run, which opened in 1969, and Loudoun Valley (1962) are tied for the most state championships with 17.

Loudoun County (1954) and Park View (1976) athletes have each hoisted 15 state championship trophies, while Briar Woods (2005) has won 14 crowns and Stone Bridge (2000) has claimed 12 titles.

Potomac Falls (1997) and Woodgrove (2010) are tied with nine state championships. Riverside (2015) won four state titles during the 2016-2017 school year.

Freedom (2005) holds three state titles, while Dominion (2003) and Tuscarora (2010) have each claimed two championships.

Heritage (2002) and Rock Ridge (2014) each own one state title.
