Falcons glide to gymnastics title

Briar Woods High School - led by all-around champion Sara Connor - won the team championship in the Red Division at the Glory Days Grill/Park View Invitational Jan. 5 in Sterling.

Loudoun County was a close runner-up in the elite division, while Broad Run claimed the team title in the Blue Division.

The Falcons totaled 97.25 points to edge the Raiders by less than one-tenth of a point. Colonial Forge placed third, followed by Potomac Falls and Tuscarora.

Broad Run gymnasts occupied three of the top four spots in the Blue Division’s all-around. The team champion Spartans were led by all-around winner Kerry Stolcenberg. Woodgrove claimed runner-up honors, followed by Loudoun Valley, Harrisonburg, Turner Ashby and host Park View.
