Leesburg resident Andrew Jacobs, a senior at Woodberry Forest School, has signed a letter of intent to play NCAA Division I golf at the University of Delaware, beginning in the fall of 2018.

Jacobs is a two-time All-State recipient and was a finalist in the 2017 Virginia State Golf Association’s Junior Match Play Championship.

Jacobs is a High Honors student who also served as captain of the varsity soccer team and holds one of the school’s highest leadership positions as a member of the Prefect Board.

Woodberry Forest golf coach Mark Hogan says of Jacobs, "Andrew models everything we hope Woodberry boys will be - great students, great athletes and great people."
