The Loudoun Soccer 98 Boys Red team are Virginia Youth Soccer Association State Champions of the U14 age group. Loudoun 98 Boys Red won a semifinal game June 1 and the championship game June 2 at Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax to claim the title.

This is the second Loudoun Soccer team to win a state championship in the last eight months. The 95 Boys Red team won the U17 age group in November of 2012. Both teams have advanced to the Region I championship, set for June 27 through July 2 in Rhode Island.

The 98 Boys Red team - coached by Mark Ryan - defeated McLean U14 9-1 in the semifinals, and shut out Braddock Road Youth Club 2-0 in the final. Giovanni Vasquez netted the first goal midway through the second half in the championship game following some excellent build up from Jacob Labovitz.

After Loudoun goalkeeper Colin Shutler made several key saves to deny BRYC's bid to pull even, Labovitz scored off an assist by Ryan Arendt to close out the scoring.
