Loudoun roster set for NOVA Challenge

The fourth annual DMVStream.com NOVA Challenge is set for March 19 at Riverside High School in Leesburg.

The high school basketball event showcases top public school seniors from Loudoun, Fairfax, Arlington, Alexandria and Prince William in two all-star games, a slam dunk contest and a 3-point shooting contest.

With an all-star roster that includes players from Broad Run, Dominion, Heritage, John Champe, Loudoun County, Loudoun Valley, Potomac Falls, Rock Ridge and Tuscarora high schools, Loudoun will play a team of all-stars from Arlington/Alexandria to close out the event.

Festivities begin at 2 p.m. with Prince William playing Fairfax. The 3-point and slam dunk competitions will be contested between the two all-star games.

The 2017 edition of the NOVA Challenge will benefit Frederick Douglass Elementary School in Leesburg.

The event has raised more than $5,000 for Friends of Wounded Warriors, Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter and Alternative House in its first three years.

Spectator admission is $8.
