Loudoun Valley basketball duo set program records

The Loudoun Valley Vikings boys' basketball team is in the midst of another stellar season. The reigning Class 4 state champion Vikings have won 14 straight games to push their season mark to 20-1, including an undefeated record in Dulles District games.

A pair of seniors - Jordan Miller and Jalen Williams - recently worked their way into the program's record book.

Miller, signed to play Division I basketball at George Mason University, became the school's all-time leading scorer Feb. 2 in Loudoun Valley's 96-65 victory against Woodgrove. Miller converted a layup in the win to push his career scoring total to 1,588 points.

A week earlier, Williams drained a record 10 3-pointers during an 87-56 win versus Loudoun County. The magical shooting effort allowed Williams to become the eighth player in Loudoun Valley history to reach the 1,000-point milestone for his varsity career.

Loudoun Valley, coached by Chad Dawson, closes out the regular season at home Feb. 8 versus Heritage.

The Vikings have already secured the No. 1 seed for the Dulles District boys' basketball tournament, which begins Feb. 12.
