The Freedom Eagles jumped out to a 10-point lead after one quarter versus the previously undefeated Tuscarora Huskies and did not look back on their way to a 59-41 home victory Friday evening in South Riding.

The victory moves Freedom (12-3, 7-1) into a first-place tie with Tuscarora (15-1, 7-1) atop the Potomac District.

Junior Jaelyn Batts scored 18 points in the win, while junior Kamryn Meador and sophomore Brenna Haley also reached double figures.
