Naval Academy senior outside hitter Maggie Phillips was recently selected as the Patriot League's Volleyball Player of the Week.

The Loudoun County High School alum led Navy with an average of 3.9 kills per set and a .286 attack percentage in victories against American, Colgate and Holy Cross.

Phillips has earned the league's top player award twice during her senior season. Through Navy's first 19 matches of 2017, Phillips has produced 179 kills, 110 digs and 31 total blocks.

A four-year letter winner in both basketball and volleyball, Phillips helped Loudoun County win three state championships in volleyball.

She was the Loudoun Times-Mirror Female Athlete of the Year and the Washington Post All-Met Player of the Year as a senior.

Navy has won seven consecutive matches and currently stands at 16-3. Phillips is joined on Navy's roster by fellow Loudoun County alum Emily Solis, a sophomore defensive specialist/libero.
