Stone Bridge places second at Liberty District gymnastics meet

McLean High School racked up 142.050 points to claim the team championship at the AAA Liberty District Gymnastics Championship Jan. 28 in Ashburn. Host Stone Bridge finished less than three points behind in the runner-up spot.

Marshall’s Morgan Stahl won two individual events on her way to the all-around title. McLean’s Lizzy Brown-Kaiser also placed first in two events. Brown-Kaiser and Jacqueline Green - second in all-around - led McLean’s charge to the title.

Stone Bridge was paced by Eleni Papadopoulos (third) and Shelby Keye (sixth). Caroline Kerr of Thomas Jefferson finished fourth in the all-around.
