Strongman Challenge set for Saturday

Brute strength will be on display March 26 as men and women push, pull, flip, carry and press world class weights in the Capital Classic Strongman Challenge.

CrossFit Reston will host the first annual Strongman Challenge from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 310 Victory Drive in Herndon.

The challenge will feature more than 30 male and female competitors from novice to heavyweight level – including a handful of Loudoun entrants.

Events include log press, Conan’s wheel, frame carry, car deadlift, tire flip/chain drag and atlas stones.

Spectators are invited to come out and watch. Admission is $5 with children under 12 admitted free.

Is Langley Football coach and local Strongman Legend John Howerton going to compete in this? He is easily the strongest man in Fairfax.
