Loudoun Valley High School alum Alex Owens is leading Longwood University's baseball team in several offensive categories through the first 25 games of his junior season.

Owens, a third baseman, leads the Lancers with a .352 batting average, along with four home runs, 21 RBIs, 14 extra-base hits and 54 total bases. Owens has also walked 15 times and holds a .448 on base percentage.
