Wildcats strike gold on volleyball court

The Western Loudoun Volleyball Club U14 Wildcats went undefeated in pool play and won a pair of three-set matches in the semifinals and final to claim the championship at the Maryland Juniors 14s Tournament, April 22 in Jessup, Md.

This was the third gold medal for the Wildcats during the current club season.

Trailing 13-9 in the third and decisive set of a semifinal match versus the Hub City Thunder, the Wildcats rallied for a 25-20, 20-25, 16-14 victory to reach the final.

The Wildcats outlasted the Virginia Fusion 26-24, 19-25, 15-9 in the championship match.
