To the Loudoun community, we appreciate your continued support and readership. As we always have, we welcome a vast array of feedback, insight and commentary. Our editorial pages, community views and letters to the editor demonstrate this point week after week.
But we'd like to issue a reminder: We will not tolerate vulgar comments or attacks and vitriol toward another commenter or story subject at LoudounTimes.com. Our comment forum is meant as a place for engagement, a haven for the free-flow of thoughts and ideas. It is not a place to attack others. If we see vulgar, aggressive or ad hominem attacks on another person, those comments will be removed.
Repeated violations of our standards will lead to an indefinite ban of that user. We encourage the community to police itself. If you see something that you believe goes against our standards and guidelines, your “reporting” it will ensure we see the comment. We will review and take appropriate action, if necessary. Anyone with questions on commenting can email LTMeditor@loudountimes.com.
Here are our guidelines:
-No racist, sexist, vulgar or generally offensive language.
-This forum is for the exchange of thoughts and philosophies, not ad hominem personal attacks.
-Be civil. Don't degrade others, don't bait others, don't lie and don't threaten.
-Stay on topic. Comment on the article at hand. If you have something else you want to talk about, submit a letter to the editor at LTMeditor@loudountimes.com.
-No spamming. This isn't the place for miracle cures.
-Help us moderate. Report something you find offensive or questionable.
Thanks as always for your support,
