A new meatball restaurant named Balls of Glory is slated to open next year in downtown Leesburg.

Curtis Allred, owner of Delirium Cafe, said he has signed a lease in the space currently occupied by Senor Ramon's on Loudoun Street in Leesburg, where he will serve the popular comfort food.

Senor Ramon's is moving essentially across the street to the under-renovation space at 32 S. King St.

"This is a growing concept in America, and it will be fun," Allred told the Times-Mirror.

He said he has always loved the little house on Loudoun Street and thought it would be the perfect spot for this concept.

"There are a lot of reasons to do it aside from my crazy love of meatballs," Allred said.

He anticipates an opening date sometime in the second quarter of 2019, depending on when the 32 S. King St. renovations are completed. Zest clothing boutique and Sunflower Shack have also signed on to occupy space in the building that formerly housed Leesburg Antique Emporium.

Interesting name for a family restaurant. I hope it lasts longer than "Naughty Girls Donut Shop."

You've got to be kidding with that name!
