Attendees at one of the 2018 Black Olive Block Parties at The National Conference Center in Leesburg.

The Black Olive Bar & Grill, located at The National Conference Center in Leesburg, has announced the dates for its 2019 Black Olive Block Party Series, which kicks off April 26.

This season’s three Black Olive Block Parties, hosted outdoors at The National’s courtyard, seek to bring the local neighborhood and out-of-area guests together to enjoy Loudoun restaurants, vineyards, breweries, bands, and family activities, according to organizers.

Last year’s inaugural season saw over 1,200 guests in attendance.

The National Conference Center will donate a portion of ticket sales from each block party to benefit a Loudoun nonprofit. The April 26 event from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. will benefit Loudoun Habitat for Humanity. The July 26 event beginning at 5 p.m. will benefit Project SEARCH. And the Sept. 20 event will benefit Loudoun Hunger Relief.

The National Conference Center is offering an overnight package for the parties. The “Block Party Package” features rates from $109 for a standard guest room and $159 for a suite. The package includes guest accommodations, full weekend breakfast buffet, complimentary parking and a $10 food gift card to Black Olive Bar & Grill.

The April 26 Black Olive Block Party will feature live rock music by Jumpin’ Jupiter; wine tastings led by The National’s sommelier Mary Watson-DeLauder; brewmasters and beer from Black Hoof Brewing Co., Adroit Theory Brewing Co., Solace Brewing Co., Loudoun Brewing Co., Crooked Run Brewing, House 6 Brewing Co., Rocket Frog Brewing Co., Brew LoCo, Founders Brewing Co., Delirium Brewery and Väsen Brewing Co.; "Cigars Under the Stars" sponsored by cigar experts Old Virginia Tobacco; and family-friendly activities, including face painting and yard games.

Black Olive Bar & Grill will feature menu items from the local Lothar’s Butchery & Gourmet Sausages. The Conche and Balls of Glory, both of Leesburg, will also be selling special dishes along with more local restaurants to be announced.

Under the direction of Executive Chef Frank Estremera, Black Olive Bar & Grill’s menu will include a sampling of food sourced from Loudoun farmers, growers and purveyors.

The event is free, with tasting tickets ranging from $6 to $15. For more information, visit
