The Sterling Foundation will present its annual community festival, SterlingFest, on Oct. 12 at the Sterling Community Center.
SterlingFest takes place every October and features booths offering products from local businesses and artisans and food vendors representing a variety of local eateries. The Sterling Foundation website lists plenty of activities to keep the young ones busy, including a petting zoo sponsored by Leesburg Animal Park, a scavenger hunt arranged by Floris United Methodist Church, as well as moon bounces, obstacle courses, games and crafts.
Adults can sit down for a local brew or glass of wine in the Beer Garden, which will boast selections from Fabbioli Cellars, Rocket Frog Brewing Company and Beltway Brewing Company. Live music performances will include sets by Latin pop-rock band Ocho de Bastos and Park View High School's Marching Patriots.
The event raises funds for The Sterling Foundation, a nonprofit organization that aims to beautify the Sterling area and serve the local citizenry. The event is planned and hosted by a volunteer staff. Those wishing to volunteer at the festival can email firstname.lastname@example.org.
SterlingFest will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 12 at 120 Enterprise St. in Sterling. More information can be found at sterlingfoundation.org/sterlingfest.
