The Village at Leesburg’s annual Ice Festival, which has been a yearly tradition since 2015, kicks off at 1 p.m. and runs until 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 15.

The free event features world-class ice carvers from Ice Labs, based in Glen Burnie, Maryland, who will compete to win prizes. The ice sculptures will be judged by attendees.

“This is a great way to continue to build on the excitement after the holidays,” said Yvonne Pearson, Marketing Manager for Village at Leesburg. “Families enjoy getting out to have a fun activity and we love the fact that we bring the community together.”

Activities will include “iceless” ice skating – with skates available onsite – live ice carving stations, s’mores at The Conche, hot chocolate at Weird Bros. and the Washington Capitals mascot will be walking around the center.

There will also be live performances from Bach to Rock, and event organizers encourage attendees to post photos on social media for a chance to win prizes.
