As a way to bring awareness and highlight businesses in the town of Leesburg, the town’s Department of Economic Development has launched a video series as part of a new initiative called “Locally Leesburg.”
Leesburg Economic Development Director Russell Seymour told the Times-Mirror that he wanted to create a marketing campaign for Leesburg’s businesses to provide information for both area residents and visitors from out-of-town.
“This is also a good idea for people looking to relocate and to see all we have to offer,” he said.
Every week, a new 3- to 5-minute episode will air on Facebook. The videos will also be available on the town’s YouTube channel and the town’s website.
“This gives us an opportunity to highlight the businesses that are here and what they do and why,” Seymour said.
So far, the team has completed seven videos, and Seymour says that businesses are excited about the new campaign. Within a few minutes of launching Locally Leesburg, about 30 businesses expressed interest in participating. The videos are produced at no charge.
“We are encouraging everyone to participate. With the high level of interest, we may put out two or three each week,” Seymour said.
