Leesburg musician and DJ Nathaniel Davis will play a concert Sunday via Facebook Live to lift his fans' spirits amid the COVID-19 health crisis.
According to the event's Facebook page, all of Davis' performances in the near future were canceled, severely limiting his income during what he said would have been "a very busy bustling event season."
"It was a crushing blow to suddenly ... feel that severed," Davis wrote. "But I'm resolved to redeem this situation and bring forth something positive."
The concert will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and can be found by clicking here. Davis said he plans to perform fan-favorite cover songs, original tunes and will also take audience requests.
"I would love the opportunity to perform for you all and share my music, hoping to brighten your day, provide an escape, and lift your spirits with the magic of music," he wrote.
Davis will also be accepting virtual tips and donations via Venmo, PayPal and Cash App. Instructions on how to donate are available on the event page.
The well-known local musician plans to donate a portion of his tips to the county's service industry professionals through a GoFundMe page launched by Times-Mirror Editor-in-Chief Trevor Baratko. Davis reached out to Baratko with the offer to donate some of the proceeds to the GoFundMe campaign.
