Round Hill welcomes More Better Beer Restaurant

Nils Schnibbe, owner of More Better Beer Restaurant and Beer Hall, which opened for business May 23.

Nils and Olivia Schnibbe have been hustling in the restaurant business in Leesburg over the past two years. The husband and wife team have opened SideBar and 14 Loudoun in historic downtown, along with a food truck, SunDay Chicken.

Now, they are adding to their enterprises with More Better Beer Restaurant and Beer Hall, located next to Mom's Apple Pie, Bogati Winery, Gateway Gallery and Round Hill Arts Center, at the Hill High center on Route 7 in Round Hill. The new venture opened May 23.

After months of renovations, the 3,000-square-foot space has been transformed into a beer hall with long wooden tables.

“With my German background, I always wanted to open a beer hall. And, we are still working on opening the garden area,” Nils Schnibbe said.

The wide-ranging menu features appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees like steak, pork chops, fish plates and chicken.

“It is not a German restaurant, but there are a few good-quality German items on the menu sprinkled in,” Nils Schnibbe said.

More Better Beer serves brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. One of Schnibbe's favorite dishes is the breakfast schnitzel, which is a crispy breaded chicken breast topped with a fried egg, two slices of bacon and home fries on the side.

Schnibbe said he has been enjoying working on beautiful setting in Round Hill.

“We like it a lot. We have very good neighbors, and we are looking forward to being part of the community ... The area has been craving something like this,” he said.

Beers on tap include about half German beer and half local brews, he said, with a range of “something for everyone.” There is also a full bar with wine and liquor.

“We are very excited. It is beautiful out here,” Schnibbe said.

"With my Grrman background I always wanted to open a beer hall." Well with my Irish background I always want to drink in a beer hall.
