In an effort to support local restaurants and businesses, One Loudoun in Ashburn is debuting its first Taste One Loudoun event on September 11 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Lindsay Petak, marketing director for One Loudoun, said the event is free and open to the public.

Participating restaurants will set up tents on the Plaza as well as on Exchange and Thorndike Streets and will offer samples at no cost. Some restaurants will offer small plates for sale, she said.

“It's the first year and we want to support all of our restaurants," Petak said. "We are hopeful this will turn into an annual event.”

Some of the menu options include Bar Louie's sliders, flatbreads, soft pretzels, potstickers and spinach dip. Sense of Thai will have basil chicken and Thai iced tea. City Tap House will be serving Korean short rib tacos and Matchbox is offering pizza samples.

The Alamo will be selling beverages in a designated beer garden area.

In addition, there will be live music with two bands performing on stage in the Plaza.

“Our goal is to bring people to the center, provide some great, free entertainment for the community and support our businesses and restaurants. We really looking forward to welcoming people to the property and having a great event,” Petak said.
