White's Ferry Manor opens outdoor patio and grill

Patio seating at White's Ferry Manor is open this weekend. Reservations are accepted online and live music starts at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

After one year as a destination for wedding and events, the recently renovated White's Ferry Manor in Leesburg has opened an outdoor patio and restaurant for all to enjoy.

“We always wanted to do this, but after COVID-19 began and we had a lot of wedding and event cancellations, we decided this was a good time to open it,” said Sanjeev Verma, who owns the property with his wife Binni Verma.

The space has plenty of room for social distancing, they said, as the property is situated on 50 acres off Route 15 on White's Ferry Road near the Potomac River.

In addition to serving as a venue for events and weddings, it is a bed and breakfast.

The couple, which have been in the hospitality business for nearly 30 years, own other restaurants in the Washington, D.C. area, including Silk Restaurant in the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center on Route 7 in Leesburg.

The chefs at Silk provide the food and and preparation for service at White's Ferry Manor.

The outdoor patio menu includes appetizers such as spinach and artichoke dip, spicy tuna rolls with pita and a cheese platter. Main entrees include burgers, various types of kabobs, fish and chips and salads. Patrons are welcome to bring their own beer and wine, they said.

“This place is wonderful. It's a one-stop shop with our ability to do catering and create any type of cuisine. We are looking forward to this and so excited we have this beautiful outdoor space,” Binni Verma said.

Table reservations are accepted online at whitesferrymanor.com/bbq.
