The Wine Kitchen, located on King Street in Leesburg, launched a new takeout and delivery-only dining service this week.
Called Paulie’s, the Soprano’s-inspired menu features homemade pasta dishes, such as lasagna, rigatoni with sausage, spaghetti and meatballs and fettucine alfredo. Also on the menu are salads, fried mozzarella, a large brownie sundae that feeds four and a selection of Italian wines. Family meal deals are available.
“It’s classic red sauce, Jersey Italian fare. We are hoping it’s a big hit,” said Chef Tim Rowley.
The takeout menu will serve as another revenue stream as Wine Kitchen prepares for the winter months, when outdoor diners will be dramatically reduced.
“We wanted to do something to attempt to bring in more business,” he said.
Rowley and Wine Kitchen owner Jason Miller developed the menu after considering what type of cuisine is missing in the downtown area.
Most of the pasta dishes are crafted with local ingredients, and the pasta itself is made in house.
“It’s still a local, fresh concept like we always do at the Wine Kitchen,” Rowley said.
