Bank of America robbery

An armed man robbed a Sterling bank Saturday morning, getting away with an undisclosed amount of money, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

The robbery occurred at about 10:30 a.m. Saturday at a Bank of America branch in the 45400 block of Dulles Crossing Plaza when the suspect approached a teller and demanded cash while displaying a gun.

The suspect fled the area in a dark-colored SUV. No one inside the bank was injured, according to the LCSO.

The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans, and a black mask that was partially covering his face, the sheriff’s office said.

Anyone with any information about the possible identity of the suspect is asked to contact Detective S. McCormack at 703-777-1021. Callers wishing to remain anonymous are asked to call Loudoun Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919 or submit a tip through the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office app.
