Ashburn convenience store robbery surveillance

An unknown male suspect was caught on surveillance footage while allegedly robbing an Ashburn convenience store on May 27.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is investigating the armed robbery of an Ashburn convenience store that occurred early Thursday morning.

An unknown male suspect reportedly entered the 7-Eleven in the 20600 block of Ashburn Rd. shortly before 1 a.m. before approaching the counter and asking to buy cigarettes.

The suspect then brandished a firearm and demanded cash, LCSO officials said.

He reportedly escaped with a small amount of cash. No injuries were reported.

Authorities describe the suspect as a white male, 6 feet tall, 180 to 200 pounds, with short brown hair.

The suspect reportedly wore a dark-colored baseball hat, a green hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black shoes and a medical mask.
