An Ashburn man and woman were arrested Wednesday after allegedly participating in the group assault of a man at Ashburn Village Shopping Center, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies received reports from a victim around 9:27 p.m. claiming he was approached in a parking lot near the 44100 block of Ashburn Shopping Plaza by a female, whom he knew, and five males, some of whom he knew.
The woman and three of the men reportedly surrounded the victim and threatened him before assaulting him, but the victim was able to free himself and flee on foot. Authorities say he did not sustain any injuries.
The four suspects were identified and two were located.
Christian T. Knock, 20, and Summer Mirzian, 19, were charged with assault by mob.
Both suspects were later released from the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center -- Knock on a $1,500 bond and Mirzian on a personal recognizance bond.
Charges against the two other suspects were still outstanding as of Thursday morning.
