A man was arrested in Ashburn Friday morning after allegedly causing serious injury to another man, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to the 21800 block of Crescent Park Square around 12:29 p.m. for reports of the two men fighting near an apartment complex.
One man reportedly fled into a residence as the authorities arrived. He was later taken into custody.
Officials say the second man sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Seamus W. Hyland, 37, of Ashburn, was charged with aggravated malicious wounding, hindering a sheriff's deputy and obstruction of justice.
As of Monday morning, Hyland was being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
