An Ashburn man who stabbed a 16-year-old boy in the chest last year in Leesburg will be imprisoned up to two years.

D’Angelo Ervin Bland, 19, was sentenced on Thursday in Loudoun Circuit Court to seven years with five suspended on charges of malicious wounding and wearing a mask in public. State sentencing guidelines recommended a minimum of two years and seven months, a midpoint of four years and five months, and a maximum of six years and one month. In a March 31 plea bargain, the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office agreed to seek the midpoint.
