An Ashburn woman was arrested Thursday morning after allegedly causing a hit-and-run accident in Sterling and attempting to evade law enforcement, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies responded to the 20900 block of Davenport Drive around 12:54 a.m. when a victim reported a vehicle had hit his parked car and driven away.
LCSO officials soon located the vehicle in the Ashburn area. A deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver failed to stop. A brief pursuit ensued before the driver pulled over.
When being taken into custody, the driver reportedly failed to comply with deputies' commands and later provided authorities with a fake ID.
Lexi M. Palma, 20, was charged with hit-and-run, eluding police, obstruction of justice, providing false identity to law enforcement, underage possession of tobacco products and several traffic-related charges.
Palma was being held Thursday at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
