Adrienne Thomas mugshot

Adrienne D. Thomas

A woman was arrested in Ashburn Thursday afternoon after allegedly driving while impaired, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded to the 21000 block of Shellhorn Road around 2 p.m. for a report of an erratic driver in a parking lot.

Authorities received a second call a few minutes later, informing them that the suspect was passed out in a vehicle.

After responding to the second call, the deputies found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol.

Adrienne D. Thomas, 42, of Ashburn, was charged with driving while intoxicated — her second offense.

As of Friday morning, Thomas was being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.

Is she cross-eye drunk 🥴 in this mug shot or is that her natural look? Whose serving at 1pm around here?

A DUI draws this many comments? Get a life. Volunteer. Read a book.

Based on the number of 2nd, 3rd and 4th time DUI losers, it would seem like the Commonwealth could use tougher punishments for these crimes.

It has to do with the sentencing recommendations identified in the Virginia Criminal Code for this type infraction. If you feel strongly about the subject, lobby your representatives in the Virginia Assembly to amend the code for tougher penalties.

WTF!!!!??? That chick needs to be locked up for a loooong time! NO more PRIVILEGES to drive ever again. Alcoholic program too.

i love when someone trys to be a judge and put there two cents in. Clearly she needs help. The courts need to get this women help not throw her in jail

Guest

I agree. She needs help and support and should not be thrown in jail. And why is there a need to post her picture? It seems like unnecessary cruelty in an already difficult circumstance. Does this newspaper not have anything else to report on????

Voltaire

Guest--that decision will be made by a judge who will be using the sentencing recommendations outlined in the Virginia Criminal Code for the offense. There will be probably action taken on her driving privileges and ordered into an alcoholic program.

n the U.S., we do not need more prisons or jails. The fact that there are private prisons in America and in Virginia should concern all Virginians. Rather, we ought to focus more on directing and investing more into treatment centers. The "just desert" aka "tough on crime" mentality has failed the criminal justice system. If it worked then we wouldn't have crime in and outside of prison system would we not? If we as society are to be serious about reducing recidivism, we have to be able to lose the traditional way thinking. Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Clearly this hasn't been working for a long time. Recidivism increases because when the Criminal Justice system focuses solely on "just desert" dispositions there is no individual reform done. If we instead try to focus on rehabilitation and restorative justice recidivism has better chance at permanently decreasing while making a meaningful difference to the criminal justice system.

What we need is less crime

In this case, she should not have a license in any state for a very long time

Guest

I hope she gets the help she needs. How about some closeup pictures of the thieves carrying stolen property out of the buildings that they destroyed.

Guest

Yes. And at least she gets to live to see another day.

Guest

I agree 100%

Although I'm a bit lost on what locations withing Loudoun County had that issue recently?

Guest

Well said. If you are going to show pictures then show ALL of them. She obviously needs help. Otherwise why would she be drunk at 2pm? Who knows what is she is going through? Wish people will stop judging others. Remember, we are ALL sinners and guilty of something...

Guest

Till she runs over a 7 year old on the curb. We all have problems, this isn't how you handle them.

Guest

She's hot.

Guest Big C

Hell yea brother!!

Voltaire

Guest--I agree with your first premise.

Guest

I'm glad you're showing her picture so if I'm driving down the street and I see her I get out her way unfortunately she has a problem but fortunately our law enforcement is doing good jobs and keeping our street safe once again

Guest

Two DUIs and drunk at 2 p.m. says she has a problem. Alcoholism is a disease and I hope she gets the assistance she needs. With that being said, I'm not condoning her behavior, she is lucky no one was killed.

Guest

2PM when did she start drinking?

Guest

Deportation may be the penalty for her drunkenly behavior.

Guest

To where? How did you come to conclusion that she is not US citizen or only migrants have DWI issues? Enlight us all.....

Saad

Why is there a need to post people pictures and shame them, isnt it enough that they are caught and will pay for their mistakes.

Guest

They shame Certain others by posting their photos, no one should be exempt.

Thebroof

Stupidity deserves to be shamed. Don't want your face out there, dont do dumb sh*t. Pretty simple.

Guest

Why not they post other certain folk.

Guest

Oh - guess you are flawless.

Guest

I agree. She needs help, counseling and loving arms and understanding. Her life and those around her lives have already been altered sorrowfully.

guest

No. She needs counseling and accountability. “Altered sorrowfully” will apply when she crashes and kills herself or hits someone innocent.

Guest

It's her 2nd time, posting her picture hopefully shames her into risking the lives of others by driving DUI again. She was arrested at 2PM passed out in a car; WTF?

Guest

Guest

NO. You don't get it. She did it because she has not been shamed. Shes a moron. Stop being snowflake Grow some skin.

Guest

Great reply - Trump lover. Enjoy your last 6 months of him,.

Guest

So telling someone to not be a p***y automatically makes them a lover of the orange in chief? You're what's wrong with this country and why we'll never see a good president again.

Guest

You are liberal moron

Guest

Regardless of is currently going on in her life, this could have been much worse. Everyone should be held accountable for their actions regardless of backstory.

Guest

I agree. There was no reason to post this person’s photo as it accomplishes nothing positive. She needs love and support and someone to help her with an obvious drinking problem without judging her. Human Kind.

Guest

I have mixed feelings about the picture. I was married to an alcoholic for years and nobody could get through to him, not me, not our kids, friends, parents, bosses. Nobody. Got his picture posted, saw himself in that situation, and went to rehab. So I think the shaming part can get through to them when other things can’t.

Guest

I know someone that has had many issues with drinking, but they haven’t ALL involved driving. (Sometimes it just leads to domestic issues that require a neighbour to call the cops!) This person is surrounded by people that support her, yet she still has to check herself into rehab every few months. If you ask me, better her picture now before it reads “killed a motorist while driving under the influence.” Have yet to read an article about a dui-related incident that involved a death, and people responding, “Oh, but they have a disease! They shouldn’t get into trouble for killing someone; they just need help!” Help doesn’t help everyone; it took my uncle 30 years of help and losing his family before he “got it.” If “shaming” saves a life...the alcoholics and/or the innocent...I’d say it’s worth it.
